Bone Tumors

Bone Tumor Symptoms and Causes

A bone tumor, such as chondrosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, fibrosarcoma and osteosarcomas, is an abnormal growth of cells within the bone that may be noncancerous (benign) or cancerous (malignant). Several cancers can spread to the bone. These forms of cancer usually affect older people. Symptoms include fracture, pain and a mass and swelling. Some benign bone tumors have no symptoms.
In most cases, no specific cause is found.
