Congenital Heart Disease, Symptoms and Causes

Congenital heart disease is an umbrella term used to describe a variety of heart defects that are present at birth. Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defects and include: coarctation of the aorta, Ebstein’s anomaly, hypoplastic heart, tetralogy of fallot, transposition of the great arteries, ventricular septal defect, hypoplastic left heart syndrome and pulmonary stenosis.
