Trigger Finger Symptoms and Causes
Trigger finger is a condition that affects the tendons in your fingers or thumb, therefore limiting movement. When you try to straighten your finger or thumb, it will lock or catch before popping out straight, and there could be pain. Other possible symptoms include a sore lump in your palm and swelling. The symptoms may follow a period of heavy hand use, and don’t usually follow an injury. In more severe cases of trigger finger, the finger cannot be straightened at all. The cause of trigger finger is usually unknown.
