David B. Samadi, MD, is one of a small number of U.S. urologic surgeons trained both in oncology and robotic surgery. He is credited with performing the first robotic prostate removal surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and has performed well over 5,600 successful robotic prostate surgeries. He performs his Samadi Modified Advanced Robotic Technique (SMART) surgery using the da Vinci surgery system.
