North Shore-LIJ Medical Group Urgent Care Center at Rego Park

We treat the immediate medical problem, so patients requiring primary care, specialty care or ongoing treatment will be referred to other physicians. Patients should visit their primary care physician for chronic conditions such as diabetes management, hypertension, maintenance drugs, routine health physicals or well baby or child visits, as well as for follow-up services regarding any care that was received at the UCC.

Our physicians perform minor surgery such as wound repair and skin lesion removal, but do not care for high-acuity patients nor provide continuing medical care of chronic medical problems. They have expertise evaluating and treating patients with access to low-complexity, office-based laboratory tests, such as pregnancy tests and rapid strep tests, as well as X-rays. Advanced lab testing is sent to a health system laboratory for processing. Our physicians will follow up with all patients and provide them with results that are not available at the time of the visit.
