Thank you for your interest in the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program at the North Shore – LIJ Health System. As you embark on an exciting career in this specialty, we believe this program has much to offer. Our goal is to provide a well rounded training experience by offering a complete educational program with nationally and internationally known surgeons in the field of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Each year, two residents are selected to participate in this six-year Integrated Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Program. The organization of the program affords residents exposure to the full spectrum and high volume of plastic surgery cases. The residents will rotate through the tertiary hospitals of the system, including North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Staten Island University Hospital, and Lenox Hill / Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital.
In addition, residents are encouraged to participate in research from the start of their residency program and are mentored throughout. The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is part of the North Shore University Hospital Campus and offers a variety of opportunities for involvement in front-line research.
We invite you to browse our website for more detailed information on our program at North Shore – Long Island Jewish Hospital System.
