Podiatry Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital

Welcome to the North Shore-LIJ - Lenox Hill Hospital PMSR

The Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program(PMSR) with the added credential for Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery is a 36 month program based at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. We are approved by CPME for two residents each year(2/2/2).

In keeping with the mission of our sponsoring institution, the program is designed to provide the academic and clinical foundations for the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Our mission is to train individuals who will provide high quality, compassionate and accessible care to all patients.

Our program is a comprehensive three year program in a major teaching hospital. There are multiple residency programs and fellowships in other disciplines such as Orthopaedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, Opthalmology and General Surgery. We believe through interaction that these programs enhance the educational experience of the Podiatric resident. The program is integrated with the Orthopaedic Surgery residency program where residents will be attending grand rounds and lectures together. In addition to reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and diabetic limb salvage, we have a strong podopediatrics and sports medicine rotation.

There is much to learn for the motivated resident.
